I have been a registered nurse for over 3 years. I received my Associates Degree in Nursing from St. Joseph’s College of Nursing and then went on to finish my Bachelors Degree in Nursing at Lemoyne College. I worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit where I developed critical thinking skills and worked with a diverse patient population. When the pandemic hit, my unit was trusted to be the step down COVID-19 unit. I grew so much as a nurse and caretaker during that time, often being the only “family” our patients had during an isolating time. Months later, I transitioned to a new role as an OR Circulating Nurse for Crouse’s Outpatient Surgery Center where I currently practice. It was there that I developed my love for placing IVs and IV therapy in general. It’s truly wonderful what a little extra hydration can do for the body!
My passion as an RN is treating the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. I help my patients achieve wellness through proper education and supplementation! I also love talking about all things Gut Health! The connection between our gut microbiome and mental health is becoming more well known, and I love empowering patients to take back control of their mental and physical health! I enjoy working at Captivate because they have cultivated a calm, relaxing environment for patients to heal and grow.
